Having an Organic Garden is bad?
You know why? Not enough chemicals ! It seems that an industry group has their knickers in a twist over Michele Obama having a garden at the White House. Normally I stay away from political stuff on my blog, but this is just plain nuts. Go here to read the email and other whining going on.

These industry lobbying groups drive me nuts. Several years ago I got an extremely aggressive phone call from the Fertilizer Institute after we opened a wetland exhibit that included a section on eutrophication. They wanted us to downplay fertilizer's role in the process, and highlight all the wonderful things the fertilizer industry is doing to help the environment. Exactly the same sort of mindset as what you are describing here.
