Last night we had a storm. I didn't know, I only know that I woke at 11:30 last night, looked out the window and the sky was glowing. Just a faint green glow, if you stared at it, you thought you might see a curtain, but the camera showed more.
And so I braced my camera on the windowsill, clicked the shutter and hoped for the best.

These are brilliant, Kirk. I've never been lucky enough to see them...occasionally there are flares that make them visible down here in Colorado, but ironically it always seems to fall on cloudy nights.
Thank you Erin! We do get to witness the northern lights a fair amount here, well that is when the weather allows. Like the Lyrids are this weekend, and wait, what's the forecast calling for? Rain!
